How It All Began
No Job Is Too Big or Too Small
True Grade Excavating & Hauling started off as a young man's dream. Current owner, Broc Lorson, was known since childhood for his obsession with "anything with a motor" including tractors, four-wheelers, dirtbikes, trucks, and heavy equipment. A visit to Broc's childhood home was always accompanied by a sighting of Broc working, digging, riding, or otherwise engulfed in getting dirty outside with his machines. As a teenager, Broc took on any hands-on jobs he could find, including asphalt seal coating, truck driving, landscaping, and farmwork, learning skills and lessons that shaped his love for work. Finally out of high school, Broc attended the Central PA Institute of Science and Technology (CPI) near State College, Pennsylvania, where he earned his Heavy Equipment Operating License and a Class A CDL.
In 2018, with over 10 years of work experience and education under his belt, Broc officially began his first business, Real Seal LLC., an asphalt seal coating company. For years, Broc and his team at Real Seal worked diligently, establishing a strong reputation with customers for excellent communication and superior results, while maintaining and working toward the end goal of having his own excavation company in the future. As some say, and as we believe at True Grade, hard work really does pay off. In 2020, Broc officially began his second business, True Grade Excavating and Hauling LLC., which to this day owns Real Seal LLC. His dream since his childhood and teenage years, True Grade Excavating is Broc's pride and joy. The business is locally owned and operated in the Williamsport area, where Broc has continuously expanded his reputation as fair, honest, enjoyable to work with, and unmatched in work ethic. Since its official beginning in 2020, True Grade has grown its team, recruiting employees who are equally passionate about and committed to the work we do for customers.
